Eligibility:Only Upstream Academy Network members in good standing are eligible for enrollment. The program is specifically designed for the primary leader in the firm. Because we believe that succession planning is a vital responsibility of leaders, firms may also enroll the person who will assume firm leadership in the near future.
Annual Meeting: Members gather in Scottsdale Arizona in February of each year. The group meets from noon on the first day to noon on the second day to discuss in-depth the key issues and best practices relevant to those in firm leadership roles. To allow everyone an opportunity to network with other participants, Upstream hosts lunch on both days.
Conference Calls: Three conference calls during the year address key issues facing managing partners. The hour-long calls begin with a presentation on the topic, followed by facilitated interaction. Upstream records all calls and sends an audio CD to each member of the group for the benefit of those who are unable to attend the live call.
Fees:The annual fee for participating in MPA is $2,000 and covers all costs for the year with the exception of personal travel, lodging costs, and golf at the annual meeting. An additional person from the same firm can participate ($1,000 per year) if he/she will be assuming the managing partner role in the near future.
