San Antonio was a beautiful location for this year's BestPractices Conference. With the exception of a little rain on Wednesday the weather was beautiful and afforded a great opportunity for participants to explore the famous San Antonio riverwalk just outside the door of the Hotel Contessa.

During the two-day conference, participants listened to dynamic speakers discussing some of today's most important people-related topics:

how to work through artificial harmony to resolve important issues
what not to do when developing your people
how to overcome personal pitfalls
how to run a successful internship program
the top trends in HR
how to develop your best people
how to strategically plan your firm's training program
the role of partners in developing people

The breakout sessions on Thursday afternoon fueled discussions, generated ideas, and gave firm members a chance to share innovative ideas.


		Thursday night's reception gave everyone a chance to network with other participants, while enjoying the mild San Antonio weather on the patio. Attendees also had a chance to meet our conference sponsors, Alan Smith and Michelle Arnold from Ernst & Morris, and John Mason from CCH.
