Sam Allred is retired as of January 1, 2024.
After a remarkable career spanning nearly four decades, Sam has left an indelible mark on the accounting industry and provided invaluable insights to hundreds of CPA firms worldwide.
Sam’s innovative programs for firm members (including Emerging Leaders Academy, New Manager Academy and Career Development Series) are now widely used by hundreds of CPA firms throughout the United States. His expertise has made him a sought-after facilitator for firm retreats and a prominent speaker and facilitator at conferences, retreats, and training sessions. His forward-thinking contributions have transformed the way firms approach their challenges and opportunities, establishing new industry standards in the process.
In true Sam fashion he has ensured his legacy continues and firms can continue to receive the exceptional guidance they’ve come to expect from Upstream Academy. Jeremy Clopton has worked closely with Sam since 2018 as Sam helped him develop into a true thought leader. He will step into Sam’s hard-to-fill shoes.
Sam’s wife, Marlene, and their seven children have been a constant source of support and inspiration throughout his career. Marlene’s partnership with Sam will continue as they travel to Louisville, Kentucky in January 2024 to serve as Military Service missionaries for 12-18 months for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
